Boxtop Submissions
I was wondering if it's possible for school coordinators to submit boxtops more than once or twice in the school year? I think it would help with the submissions and I think it would be great for the kids to see their progress throughout the school year. It may also motivate others to join in.

RE: Boxtop Submissions
submissions can be made any time of the year. Boxtops has 2 deadlines, one in Oct and one in Feb. A lot of coordinators make a big push around these times, but if you look at the actual boxtops, the expiration dates on them do not always coincide with the submission deadlines. Right now, for instance, there are 6/1 and 6/30/09 expiration dates on products. if your coordiantor is only making 2 submissions, they will miss alot of these expiration dates.
The website only updates on the 15th of the month, and 45 days after a submission has been processed. So you wont see updated totals on the site immediatley, which throws a lot of people. But there is no reason your coordinator can't keep track of what is collected and keep a tally either at the school or on the schools website.

I'm sending in 4 submissions. One for the October Deadline, then at the end of December for the ones that expire 12-31, the third is for the February deadline, and then our last shipment will be June.

I also do 4 submissions. It is easiest and keeps it from being overwhelming. Shipping more often would be more expensive, and the June one gets the boxtops out of my livingroom for the summer. As for keeping the students/teachers/parents updated, I have a graph that is presented during morning "news show" announcements for the students. The teachers receive a graph of how their class is doing, & everyone gets updated in te emonthly school newsletter. Next year I get a wall to post to - - I am soo excited!

RE: Boxtop Submissions
I submit as soon as I have enough to fill a flat-rate box about six times per year. I use collection sheets and wrap them in a file folder so I can send as many as possible. I like to send them in ahead of the deadlines so I can be sure we will receive as much as possible on our December and April checks (if it isn't processed you won't see the money for another six months!).
Next year I will have the BT Progress posters (available through the coordinator store online at $1 each) and report our progress monthly for students, parents, and staff.
