Box Tops for Education

WHY all the changes? WHAT was so wrong with the way it was? I am totally confused, don't like some of the new features, have lost access to some things and I AM the COORDINATOR!!!  WHAT HAPPENED????  DID someone think it was ok to change things because you got a few complaints????  WELL when you get more than three quarters of your total schools enrolled calling to complain THEN you know you got a problem -- but just because of a few???  Come on BTFE, get reasonable - this was NOT a smart move.  I VOTE TO PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS AT LEAST.   Now if you changed because of a few then your most likely going to get "a few" to complain about it now so does that mean you will put it back???  Hmmm..........how about it coordinators.....start complaining.

I called yesterday to talk with someone about not being able to access the online submission tools/form and they said to delete my cookies.  I did that.  I also rebooted.  Nothing worked.  I am still having trouble.  Lots of error on page messages.  I just sent BTFE an email expressing my frustration.  I really am not that thrilled with the changes. I have figured out where to find some things but after quite a bit of clicking around.  Also, everytime I go on to the coordinator site I have to verify the same exact information everytime which is annoying.  Hope they get the bugs worked out ASAP.

The new website is rediculous!  It is even more difficult to find your way around.  It makes even less sense than the old website.  Please fix this!!!

The new website is very difficult to use.  I agree, we need our user friendly website back.

If it's not broken please don't "fix" it. I don't like it and I still miss on the home page if they don't know to click on earnings they don't get to read the message. I used to spend hours on the forum now I just want to log out.

I am a brand new Coordinator and I have never experienced such a poorly set up web-site.  I have spent the last 45 minutes trying to find the submission form ... and still can't find a link to it.  Can anyone help?  What a bunch of nonsense.  Do they make it this hard so you give up and write your own check to the PTO ... I'm considering it rather than dealing with these little, tiny, illegible, eye crossing box tops and then having to spend hours just to find the submission form.  UGH!!! 

I am the coordinator and I can't even in log.  I used to only have to use the school ID and zip and now it wants a password.  When I says get password because I forgot I type in the email and it says it doesn't exists.  Although I have been getting emails sent to that address from boxtops for the last 6 months. 

Anyone with any informations please help me.

Just figured it out yah!!!  After logging in and being sent back to the BT main page, I hit the coordinators button again.  Then it took me to a new page.  On the left side of the box with a picture of people in it, click the top button and it will take you to another page about collecting BTs.  There is an on line tool button down the page a little ( in the text) click on that.  It shows the on line submission form.  Not sure if it works because I am still counting our BTs.

Also wondering, are the coordinators forums and the parent forums the same.  Is there no more separation between the two?

You are all correct with the website.  However I think it will be easier for them to update it.  I sick of having 3 different goals and 3 different totals.  I think in time we will become more familiar with the site.  I would rather have a more accurate site even if it means I have to learn the new site.   BOX TOPS TEAM please don't make me eat my words.  Good luck!!!!

I couldn't agree more!!!  I have been trying to figure out this mess of an "improvement" for the last 4 days.  I do hope they get this straightened out before we have to do our February submissions!!!  I can't access anything as the coordinator.  It seems to think I am registering as a new coordinator every time I try to log on. Is this what is happening to everyone else as well?  What a frustrating mess!

The ONLY thing I have seen as an improvement is the fact that there is a school tab for the forum.  HOWEVER, I don't like the "mix".  I like the coordinator forum being on the coordinator website and the supporter forum being on the supporter site.  If each school is going to have their own forum, change it back & put it on the supporter site. I don't understand the reasoning behind the changes & as a person who invites change, I don't like these!

Did you notice in all these changes that although we can't find the forms, forums & other resources we need they got pictures back up for the coordinator store!  LOL  That is if you can find it!

We see that there are some frustrations to the new site and want you to know we understand, it’s always hard to learn new things. We are always looking for ways to improve the site, program and respond to your many great ideas for enhancements.

If you are having trouble accessing the COORDINATOR forum - simply click the coordinator tab at the top of the forum box. When you updated your profile, you were "granted" special permissions as a coordinator and it opened up this exclusive forum for you.

If you are looking to enter the Coordinator SITE – simply click “Coordinator” in the gray bar at the top of the page.

We will continue to watch for any issues and respond. We hope this helps with any confusion. Thanks for your good feedback.

I can say that "NEW" things are always hard at first because of it being new, but I can't find collection sheets like before, and have had several links not work.  I do like that the store is back up.  Has anyone heard where the BTU will be this year?

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! What happened? This is sooooooo frustrating!!!!!  I miss our logical website!! Please return it  to the way it was!! I don't know about the rest of the coordinators, but I am not a computer programmer and do not have the logic of one. Debra

Okay.... I work as a Team Lead in Information Technology in my normal 8:30-5:00 a day job so I think I'm pretty literate when it comes to technology.  I just spent the last 4 days trying to login.  When I thought I had it figured out (after answering several questions), then I was told that my email address didn't exist in the system.  ???  So... I reregistered and got in.  Now that I'm logged in, not really sure that I want to be.  Maybe there should have been a WEB DEMO on the changes for the coordinators prior to rolling them out.  Just a thought... I do WEB DEMO's all the time at work in order to get user feedback on the changes and to train them on the new system so that they understand what to expect. 

I have now spent over 35 minutes and still can not find the submission form.  Some things are just better the paper way!

You need to still go to the COORDINATOR site (click Coordinators on the top gray bar) and there is a link to it on the homepage next to the picture on the right.

1. On the top of the page, click on COORDINATORS in the grey bar.

2. A new page opens up. On the left side of the page, under PROGRAM TOOLS and RESOURCES, there's "GETTING YOUR CASH" click on that one.

3. A new page opens up.  From there, click on the (pink) "2. Complete a Submission Form"

From there, you should be able to take over.  Good Luck!

It's frustrating when things get changed on you. Wish they had warned us first. But, it's here. I doubt they'll bring the old one back.  A few more days of clicking around the site, and we'll all get the hang of it.  

I have been trying this over and over, and I never get this new page.  I sign in and update my profile, then it says the URL you are looking for is outdated.  I need to submit my boxtops tomorrow and cannot find the forms.  I don't know what I am doing wrong as I followed the steps above and nothing.  I must have done the profile update 6 times already.

Try calling BoxTops at 1-*************.

I've tried that, but when I click on the (pink) "2. Complete a Submission Form", it just refreshes the page and does nothing.  I e-mailed BoxTops, who replied with the same procedure, then I explained that I know WHAT to do, it just isn't doing it, they e-mailed me a submission form.  The old online form always worked fine; I also can't check the "online submission status" with this.

Any suggestions?
