I'd like to know why we are penalized for expired Box Tops or one's that don't have the date showing.  We have no control of what gets submitted or how fast the products move in the stores.  I personally have purchased products that have expired Box Tops on them.  What difference does it really make?  You've already gotten the money for the product, so why can't we submit?  And could you quit making some of them so small that you need a magnifying glass to see the date?  Our work would be so much easier if we didn't have to inspect every single one.

You've bought some pretty old items if the BoxTops are already expired and they are on the shelf of a store.

Actually...  It could have been new...  Some of my boxtops expire 6 months after I take them off the package...  and my stuff doesnt just sit there...  Unless my grocery store has a way of tweaking the date on the boxes...

I agree about the size of the dates.  I too have to use a magnifying glass to read some of them.  Ugh!  It is time consuming.

There was an issue with some 6/09 dates being on the shelf after that due to excess printing issues.  They accepted them for quite some time but the only expireds they are accepting now are 6/09 from Scott Toilet Paper (and that ends 3/1).  It was Ziploc, Old El Paso & Pillsbury Biscuits.  Some said Kleenex as well but that wasn't in the list I got from GM.  Also, GM has no control over the size of the box top except on their own products.  I heard it has a lot to do with the remaining space on the packaging.  They are giving us free money....I'll take it how I can get it, no matter how small.  Big Smile

the only expired boxtops that will be excepted on the March 1 submission is the 3 listed SCOTT Paper Products:

      SCOTT Bath White 1000 Sheet 4 Roll-54*********1 4

      SCOTT Bath White 1000 Sheet 12 Roll-54*********0 4

      SCOTT Bath White 1000 Sheet 20 Roll-54*********0-8

Unfortunatley, all other expired one are not valid. And you are correct Box Tops can not tell the companies that are participating to allow a certain size on the packaging for the box top coupon, or can they say not to print the packaging so far in advance. It would be nice if they could to eliminate the expired box tops but from what I've seen and heared from the Customer Care Rep's is that all the Box Tops have what they call a 4 year date on them. So that means if the BoxTop was printed in 2010 it will have expiration dates of 2014.  Myself I belive that pleanty of time to get the Box Top in to the coordinator, unless 1.) I don't use the product every day. 2.) I'm saving the BoxTops for a large submission.   Just my 2 cents worth. Have fun collection box tops every dime does count for our schools! Wink

Since I am a grandmother of only 1 grandchild, I do not purchase many Box Top items and am saddened I don't acquire enough to participate more heavily in this terrific program before many of the Box Tops expire.  GMA27
