Cashew Chicken Crescent Sandwiches
Easy and elegant, these mushroom- and nut-studded chicken sandwiches are great for a special company luncheon or for a family treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (4.25 oz each) chicken spread
- 1 jar (4.5 oz) Green Giant® sliced mushrooms, drained, chopped
- ¼ cup chopped cashews
- ¼ cup chopped fresh chives
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury® Crescent Recipe Creations® refrigerated seamless dough sheet
- 4 slices (3/4 oz each) American cheese, cut in half
- Red grape clusters, if desired
Directions
- Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, mix chicken spread, mushrooms, cashews, chives and pepper.
- If using crescent rolls: Unroll both cans of dough; separate dough into total of 8 rectangles. Firmly press perforations to seal. If using dough sheets: Unroll both cans of dough; cut into total of 8 rectangles.
- Place cheese slice half in center of each rectangle. Spoon chicken mixture evenly over cheese. Fold short ends of dough over filling; pinch edges to seal. Place dough packets on ungreased large cookie sheet or 2 small cookie sheets.
- Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or cool. Garnish with grape clusters.
