Creaky Bone Cookies

Are you hungry? Munch on old "bones" made easily with cookie dough.

Ingredients

  • 1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated sugar cookies
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • Assorted colored sugars or candy sprinkles, as desired

Directions

  1. In large bowl, break up cookie dough. Stir or knead in flour until well blended. Reshape into log; refrigerate 30 minutes. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut dough into 16 (1/2-inch) slices; shape each to 5 x 1/2 inch. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Using fingers, press each end in slightly to form V. Sprinkle with sugars.
  3. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 2 minutes. Remove to cooling rack. Immediately reshape into bone shape, if needed. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
