Any other schools having trouble with boxtops submissions?
I am a parent at Malvern Middle School in Ohio. Our Boxtops coordinator sent in boxtops. They were signed and received on November 3rd. When our school did not get a check in December, our coordinator was assured the check would go out with the April mailing. When the April mailing time came, we did not receive a check. Now our coordinator was once again assured that it would go out in December 2009. Our kids should have benefited from the cash this school year, not next year! The money was supposed to fund an auction at the end of the year as part of a checkbook incentive program. I am terribly disappointed that Boxtops cannot send out a check to cover their mistake.

Hi LLKBEAN,
You may want to find out from the coordinator how much the box tops submission amounts were. Per BTFE FAQ's:
Schools are issued two checks per year. The December 15th check includes all Box Tops earnings accrued from March 1 to October 31 totaling $20.00 or more. (If the total is less than $20.00, this amount will be carried over and paid in the April 15 check.) The April 15 check includes Box Tops earnings accrued from November 1 through February 28.
Hope this helps!

RE: Any other schools having trouble with boxtops submissions?
We did not receive our April 09 check. When I called, I was asked to wait until May 20, which would have been 30 days since the check was issued. I called back at that time, they cancelled the first check and I received a duplicate check within 3 weeks. I can't imagine why they would put your school off unless, as previously stated, you did not have the $20.00 minimum. Did you go online to see the actual status of your school's submission? Sometimes its better to have your questions answered personally by Boxtop staff. I find them to be most helpful and pleasant.

Had a similar problem involving the previous coordinator. I learned since then to submit the boxtop via Priority Mail using signature confirmation and sending it insured as well.
I am still trying to recover about $40 plus dollars that is somewehere in our general fund.

You don't need to insured it. Do get a delivery confirmation slip The post office considers it paper and will not cover it if lost or ruined. Just make sure you have a copy of the submission form. Box Tops has been known to honor if you have proof it was received and copy of your submission slip. Do't waste the extra money on insurance.
