I am a co-ordinator with a weird problem...
We have a fairly large Chaldean community where I live, and I was wondering does anyone in the BT community have knowlege of a way to cut & paste the 'welcome letter and what BT's are participating' into the Chaldean language? Chaldean is like Iraqi or Farsi (I think), and I haven't a clue how to write it or read it. I would not want to be responsible of offending someone if I wrote it wrong.

Have you tries speaking with a representative of the Chaldean community? Many groups such as this have a place of worship. How about speaking with the children whose command of English may be better than the parents? You could also try the social website Facebook or MySpace. Hope this helps, Good Luck!!!!!

I believe that google has a translater. You can post your message in an email to yourself and translate it if the language is offered.

The population of our school encompasses about 10 languages. Everything I send has to be translated into Spanish at the very least!
Personally, I would approach one of the parents who speaks English the most fluently and collaborate on letters and instructions to parents. This person can then help you by coming to PTA meetings and what-not to translate after you've spoken your piece.
