OFFICIAL BTFE POWER OF ONE CONTEST RULES
WHAT IS THE CONTEST?
The BTFE Power of One Contest provides a platform for Box Tops for Education online members to drive higher levels of support for their school by encouraging their friends to join Box Tops for Education Online.
WHAT CAN I WIN?
FIFTY (50) SCHOOL PRIZES
Each school that has 50 or more new people register on Box Tops Online during the contest period through the campaign URL www.boxtops4education.com/one designating a school to support will be eligible to win one of fifty (50) prizes of 5,000 Bonus Box Tops. The Bonus Box Tops prize will be awarded to the Box Tops for Education participating school designated by the winner. Individuals cannot redeem Bonus Box Tops for cash. Approximate Retail Value of each prize is $500 to designated school.
TEN (10) BOX TOP FOR EDUCATION ONLINE MEMBER PRIZES
The top ten (10) Box Tops for Education online members who refer the highest number of people to join Box Tops for Education Online through the campaign URL www.boxtops 4education.com/one will be awarded a holiday shopping prize package from the Box Tops Marketplace, including one $50 gift card to Best Buy and one $50 gift card to Barnes and Noble (approximate retail value $100) and 1000 Bonus Box Tops for his/her designated school participating in the Box Tops for Education program (approximate retail value $100). Approximate Retail Value of each Box Tops for Education Online Member prize is $200, of which $100 will be awarded to the designated school.
Approximate Retail Value of all prizes is $27,000, of which $26,000 will be awarded to designated schools. All contest prizes are not transferable, except at the sole discretion of General Mills. All entrants are eligible to receive only one prize. All taxes and other expenses, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winners. This contest is void where prohibited or otherwise regulated. All federal, state and local laws apply.
WHO CAN ENTER?
You are eligible if you are 18 years of age or older as of October 12, 2009, and are a legal United States resident residing in one of the 50 United States or District of Columbia during the competition.
You are not eligible to enter and will be disqualified if you are an employee of General Mills, SkyBridge Marketing Services, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, or a member of the immediate family (parent, children, siblings, spouse, regardless of where they live) or same household of such employees (whether related or not).
HOW DO I ENTER?
TO ENTER: Online entry only. Go to www.boxtops4education.com/one, register to become a member of BoxTopsForEducation.com and designate a school to support, filling in all requested information completely. All electronic entries must be received between 12:00 a.m. on October 12, 2009 and 11:59 p.m. on December 1, 2009 (central time). Each electronic entry should be submitted only once. Use of automated processes and devices to submit electronic entries are not permitted. Contest Sponsors are not responsible for any changes or effects caused to the entrant's computer system as a result of submitting electronic entries.
Only entries submitted via the website electronic form will be accepted. Entries submitted via facsimile or other express delivery services will NOT be accepted. Not responsible for lost, late, misdirected or otherwise undeliverable mail, or entries that cannot be processed due to phone, network, electronic or computer hardware or software failure, or technical failures of any kind. General Mills reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest or website or violates the Official Rules. In the case of duplicate recipes, the first entry received will be judged. By entering, you accept all contest rules and agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which will be final. You also agree that General Mills reserves the right to use winner names and city/state of residence and winner for use in publicity, promotion, or advertising in any form of media, including websites, without compensation to you. Winners may be required to sign a release before receiving their prize.
HOW WILL CONTEST ENTRIES BE JUDGED?
SCHOOL PRIZES
Entries will be judged on the basis of the number of new Box Tops for Education Online registrations for each participating Box Tops for Education school completed during the contest period. The top fifty (50) schools with the highest number of new registrations will each be awarded a School Prize.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION ONLINE MEMBER PRIZES
Entries will be judged on the basis of the number of Box Tops for Education Online new members that eligible Box Tops for Education online members refer during the contest period. The top ten (10) Box Tops for Education Online Members with the highest number of referrals will each be awarded a Box Tops for Education Online Member Prize.
Decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating to this contest.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I WIN?
School Prize winners will be notified via announcement on the www.boxtops4education.com/one website on or about December 1, 2009. If you are a Box Tops for Education Online Member prize winner, you will be notified on or about December 1, 2009 via e-mail. The Box Tops for Education Online Member prize winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and a liability release/assignment of rights and return within five (5) days of receipt of notification. Any Box Tops for Education Online Member prize winner who does not comply with this requirement shall forfeit prize and an alternate Box Tops for Education School Coordinator prize winner may be selected. General Mills reserves the right to cancel this promotion at its sole discretion. Winners will be posted on the Internet at www.boxtops4education.com/one following the competition.
