Keeping the box tops on everyone's minds really helps with the collection sheets.  Posting the sheets throughout the school is a great way to keep it on everyone's minds too.  Lots of parents are filling them up right away then sending in envelopes & baggies of them.  We also sent home a recipe which has lots of box top & Labels for Eduction points on them.

Great idea!  I think I will try that for the rest of the year.  I'll put a package together for the summer too!

Thanks,

Angela

Our school is seeing an increase in box tops this year. I like using collection sheets because it makes my job of counting much easier. I also email teachers by grade level with their classroom totals and let them know that I'm hoping to collect about 1,000 box tops per classroom. When they reach that goal, I reward the classroom with some books or a game. Three classrooms have already turned in 1,000+ box tops and several more are nearly to that amount with four months left of our school year! It truly is an attainable goal (20 students X 50 box tops = 1,000).
